Inspect and test your home to know if there is potential for savings with an energy assessment.
An energy assessment, also known as an energy audit, is a test that will help you determine how energy efficient your home is and where you can improve areas of the home. It includes a blower door test and infrared camera inspection. After the field work is complete, a report is generated that shows recommended measures to give the most savings. The assessment will test for the following:
An Energy Assessment looks for insulation and air sealing opportunities by using an infrared camera and the blower door.
After the testing, a report is produced to show recommendations on what you can do to save energy and money. Along with recommended contractors to do the work.
Testing usually take 1 to 2 hours depending on the features of the home.
The report is often sent within 24 hours of the testing and the fee is paid. A report will not be sent until payment is received.
Payment is due upon completion of the field assessment and prior to the report being sent.
Prior to the Energy Assessment, please make sure access to attic and crawlspaces are readily available. Mechanical appliances should also be able to be inspected.
Yes, I am a trained auditor that can give a full audit report. This is an in depth testing procedure of the building with the home being modeled in software to recommend measures based on costs. For more information, please contact me by clicking here.
Yes, I can provide an Energy Certificate based on the Energy Conservation Code. Due to the extra testing, there is an extra charge in addition to the assessment. Please contact me for more information by clicking here.
I can test for gas leaks, duct leakage, combustion appliance safety, and more. If you are needing additional testing, I would recommend getting Energy Audit as this reveals a lot about the building including safety concerns.
I would recommend testing the home if you are purchasing a home or there have been renovation completed that might alter the building.
